Holding finished goods in stock due to delays on site

Recently we had a client pick up a very large project from us after completion of the polishing. Six truck loads left our factory, invoices were sent out and all was complete.

A few weeks later we were talking to the same client about the next project that was expected to arrive in the next few days. The client was exasperated by delays in joinery production from the lack of room in his factory.

It turns out his previous project had been delayed on site and so he was forced to hold the entire shop fit out in his factory for 8 weeks until the site was reopened and ready for joinery installation.

If only he had mentioned this to us prior to picking up the joinery from us, we could have held the stock for him. We are often asked to hold stock after polishing and prior to installation. Sometimes it may just be a week or so but occasionally we are asked to hold stock for over a month.

We have plenty of room in both our Knoxfield and Dandenong factories to hold your joinery if you have a delay on site, so don’t worry that we need to get your joinery out as soon as it is finished.

We have also been known to rent out storage space for unrelated businesses on the odd occasion.

So if you need to free up some space in your factory feel free to call us to discuss your needs.
