Different quality levels of two pack finish

At Simmonds Polishing we understand that not every job you give us needs to be finished perfectly. Whilst the majority of the kitchens we paint are subject to intense scrutiny by home owners, it is very different for the joinery installed into a retail shop.
Often the shop owner simply wants the most economical price they can get and they are all about selling stock, not worrying about a perfectly applied mirror finish gloss two pack surface coating.
To this end we have a number of different levels of finish available to suit the individual needs of each client. At all times, we use only the best quality materials available on the market, but how we go about applying those quality materials can vary.
In short, we offer three levels of finish to the commercial joinery industry.
1. Top quality
2. Commercial quality
3. Industrial quality

Top quality is exactly what it says; every aspect of the application is monitored and subjected to the greatest care in application and quality control. The final result is a perfect flat finish with no imperfections.

Commercial quality is our most popular finish for the commercial joinery industry; whilst we use the same quality materials as for the top quality finishing, the application of those materials is a little less regulated. As the majority of this joinery is either high up on the ceiling or else covered in stock there is not normally a need for a perfect blemish free finish. This finish is distinguishable by the odd spot of dust in the surface and a more orange peel look to the paint. Again, let us emphasise we still use the same top quality material. It is just the application of those lacquers is a little less regulated.

Our industrial quality finish is for items of joinery that are positioned away from prying eyes. We use less undercoat and less top coat on this joinery. On inspection, it will look like the joinery has only a thin coat of lacquer, rather than that high build thick look that is typical of our other two finishes. Typically, this style of painting could be used on such things as ceiling panels, or Joinery that is over 3 meters in the air. Ideally in a position where no light can reflect off the joinery and therefore won’t show up the inferior film build thickness. Again, we still use the same top-quality materials as for any other painting method. It is just we use less of it and apply in more quickly.

As we keep telling all of our valuable clients, we are here to meet your individual needs. If you would like to discuss differing qualities of finish for your next project please feel free to call us at any time.
